Pluton Zone
dedicated to Irish Poetry
by Ed Rosenthal
Im sad to announce the death
Of a close dear Lady Friend
Perhaps you know her name
Whose beauty in beaux arches
Strutted her limbs bristling
Bodies in intercourse coming
Accross her shopping palaces
Her name ěSeventh Streetî
Some time ago in a mist
Was hard to remember The
people walking in shops
At past speeds does memory
Glow accross stone shining
Limbs in a chorus of cotton
Tweeds grey green passages
Best remember or forget er?
Semmed agin we culd raise er
Like Demeters magic bargain
Now pulses of energy building
Turn East from giants of Arena
ears hear housing hammering
Soon darlings dance her surface
Parents in industy seedlings
Sweetheart artery of history
Just as blood pumped her bosom
Spider of cable webs pulled her
down telecoms darkness. People
less burrows of techno feats. But
I canít entreat Ancient Demeter
ěPlease rescue this handsome place
From plutubes switch click blips
Poor women sleep her cold face !î
Which only shows the age
of Grecian gods trashed.
Bonnieísay ěturn from Myth
to grit your teeth in Civics.
Get life for cash taxes. Let
Bodies cruise red neon energy
treasure Telehomes night!î
Oy but at a dolla twen tyfive?
and low expense! Council
Donít question any broker:
ěIs Telecom right?î
